Privacy Policy

There is no account system on this site. Nothing asks for your name, email address, phone number or Snapchat credentials, and there is no form anywhere that would accept them.

We do not build a profile of you from the usernames you look up, and we do not keep a lookup history on our side that could be tied back to you.

The tool keeps a short list of recently viewed and saved handles so you do not have to retype them. That list lives in your browser’s localStorage, on your device. It is never uploaded, and it is not readable by us.

Your light or dark theme preference is stored the same way. Clearing your browser’s site data for this domain removes all of it, permanently and immediately.

The username you enter is sent to the public-content service that powers this site, which requests the corresponding public Snapchat page and returns what it holds. That request is made by the service, not by an account — no Snapchat login takes part at any point.

The service processes the username to complete your request and to apply rate limits that keep the site usable. Standard technical request data (IP address, timestamp, user agent) is handled by our hosting and network providers as part of delivering the page.

This site is a static export served by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes connection data for delivery, caching and abuse prevention under its own privacy terms.

We use two measurement tools, and both may set cookies or use similar storage on your device.

Google Analytics 4 reports aggregate traffic — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and which links get used. It uses cookies and processes a truncated form of your IP address for approximate location.

Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used, including anonymised session replays and heatmaps of clicks and scrolling. It is worth stating explicitly because it is more than page counting: your interactions on the page can be replayed in aggregate form to diagnose interface problems. Text you type into inputs is masked by Clarity’s default settings.

If you would rather not be measured, browser tracking protection, an ad blocker, or a Do Not Track setting honoured by your browser will each prevent these scripts from loading.

This site may display advertising served by Google, including through Google AdSense.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. For third-party vendors generally, aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu offer opt-out controls. Opting out does not remove ads; it removes the personalisation.

Because we hold no account and no identifiable record of your lookups, there is usually nothing on our side to access, correct or delete — the data that exists is in your own browser and under your own control.

Where applicable law gives you rights over data processed about you (including the GDPR in the EU and UK, and the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may still contact us to ask what is held and to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or objection to processing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

For data held by Google or Microsoft through the tools above, their own privacy controls and policies apply, and you can exercise your rights with them directly.

This site is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13, or under the minimum age of digital consent in their country where that is higher.

We do not knowingly process personal information from children. If you believe a child has been recorded through the analytics tools above, contact us and we will act on it.

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, so the date is the record.
