About LookSnap
LookSnap is an independent tool for watching and saving public Snapchat content from a browser. It is built around one decision: say exactly what it can and cannot do, including where that is unflattering.
What we built
Snapchat publishes a web page for every account that has turned on a Public Profile. That page carries the account’s live Stories, its Spotlight clips and its Highlights, and it loads for any visitor whether or not they are signed in.
LookSnap reads that page and puts all three surfaces in one view, without an account, an app install or a password. That is the whole product. It is not a bypass and it has no privileged access — it reads something Snapchat chose to publish.
What we will not do
This category is full of sites promising things that are not technically possible, and the promises are how people lose their accounts.
- We will never ask for your Snapchat password or session. There is no password field anywhere on this site, and there never will be.
- We do not claim to open private accounts. No page exists for them, so nothing can read them — ours included.
- We do not claim to show who viewed someone’s Story. That list goes to the account that posted it and nowhere else.
- We do not invent results. An empty lookup is reported as empty, with the likely reason, instead of being filled with placeholder data.
Why “anonymous” is used carefully here
Anonymous has one precise meaning on this site: no Snapchat account of yours takes part in the request, so there is no handle for a viewer list to record.
It does not mean hidden content becomes visible, or that you are untraceable in some broader sense. Those are different claims and only the first one is true. Keeping that distinction is the reason the guides section spends as much time on limits as on features.
Who runs it
LookSnap is run by a small independent team. The guides are written by the LookSnap Editorial Team, which tests public Snapchat viewing workflows and documents how public profiles actually behave when you are not logged in.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Snap Inc. Snapchat and related marks belong to Snap Inc., and are used here descriptively to say what the tool works with.
